Physical therapy is a conservative, noninvasive approach to the treatment of physical injuries. We work in assisting people to reach their highest functional status based on their desired goals. This could be as simple as stepping off a curb safely or as advanced as running a marathon. The main objective is to remove the factors contributing to the injury and not to merely treat the symptoms. The best reflection of quality physical therapy treatment is a patient who does not need to come back… provided the instructions were followed, of course!

About Us" page.
Anyone with a physical condition that results in some form of functional limitation is a potential candidate for physical therapy. Examples include post-surgical conditions, traumatic injuries, repetitive strain injuries, and sports injuries. Every initial evaluation includes a screen to determine if physical therapy is an appropriate treatment approach. If not, we will give our best efforts to refer you to the right health care professional.
An initial evaluation is performed on your first visit to find the source of your physical ailment and determine the best strategy to maximize your benefit in rehab. Typical tests performed include flexibility, strength, range of motion, and active/dynamic movement assessments. Every program is customized to address an individual’s specific deficits. Treatments can include, but are not limited to, manual therapy (soft tissue and joint mobilization), therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation if needed.
All evaluation and treatment session last between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on what you need. Typical physical therapy programs last four to six weeks at a frequency of two to three times per week. The length of your treatment depends entirely on the severity of your condition. Your treatment is completed when you have met your goals, returned to your prior level of function, or feel you have control over your symptoms.
We look forward to helping you improve your health and get back in the game!
