Physical Therapist, Biomechanical Specialist
Professional Profile: Steve graduated from the doctoral physical therapy program at the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. He has worked in a variety of outpatient orthopedic clinics where he specialized in manual therapy, biomechanical analysis, custom orthotics, and sports-enhancement. Steve is the founder and president of
90 Revolutions, an online resource dedicated to supporting the training, sports-enhancement, and injury prevention needs of endurance athletes. 90 Revolutions has teamed up with Fast Track Physical Therapy as a biomechanical analyst specializing in running assessments, dynamic bike fitting, and video movement analysis. Steve is also a column writer for
Tri-DC Magazine as well as a blogger for the
Endurance Digest and a writer for the
DC Examiner on endurance training and injury prevention.
Athletic Profile: Steve played high school football until a broken femur lead to surgery, the end of his season, and his introduction into the world of sports physical therapy. Since then he has enjoyed recreational endurance sports and participating in team relay triathlons, most notably, the Bassman Triathlon and the Savageman Triathlon where he is proud to have conquered the Westernport Wall: a test of endurance and strength attempted by many and achieved by few! He continues to train and is looking forward to the upcoming racing season where, this year, his fan club (his wife, Jody) is joined by his newborn son, Elijah.
