DAN MAHONEY, NASM, RKC II
Dan is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and was a standout football, hockey, and baseball player at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA. He was taken in the 16th Round of the 2007 MLB draft by the New York Yankees after leading the Cushing Academy baseball team to back-to-back New England Prep School Council titles.
Following his prep career, Dan attended the University of Connecticut on a baseball scholarship. After two seasons pitching for the UCONN Huskies, he was selected in the 4th Round of the 2009 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins. Dan spent the next 5 years in the MiLB playing for both the Florida/Miami Marlins, as well as the New York Yankees. After suffering an injury to his pitching elbow, Dan found his passion for strength training. During his rehabilitation, he worked closely with his strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers soaking up as much knowledge as he could. Upon retirement he began his mission to work with the best and brightest in the industry traveling across the country and to Europe to grow as a coach.
Before moving to Virginia, Dan owned and operated his own personal training company. Dan's clientele included National Football League players, high school and college athletes, and those looking to optimize performance and health.
He currently holds certifications through NASM, RKC, and has been contributor to Stack Magazine, Breaking Muscle, Dragon Door Publications, and Kettlebell's USA.
