EDWARD KIRBY, RKC
Edward graduated from Greensboro College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2015. He is currently pursuing an M.S. in Exercise Science through Liberty University concentrating in Human Performance. Edward has worked with many different groups of swimmers as a swim coach since 2015. These groups include his alma mater, USA Swimming clubs (PVS and NC), and summer league teams. Edward has earned certifications in both strength training (through the Russian Kettlebell Challenge- RKC) and swim coaching (through USA Swimming). Edward’s goals are to work with all athletes to become stronger and more efficient in movement. He has a passion for working with swimmers and triathletes.
Edward was a competitive swimmer throughout high school and college. In 2011 he led his high school 4 x 100 Freestyle relay to the NCHSAA 4A State Championships, and broke two school records that still stand. He was a collegiate distance swimmer and IMer primarily competing in the 500, 1650, and 400IM at ODAC Championships. Throughout college he set over 20 school records across all events. Edward still owns one school record and remains in the top 5 All-Time for most other events. He additionally competed in sprint triathlons between swim seasons. Edward currently enjoys weight training, swimming, running, and being outdoors. He looks forward to working with other athletes to help them reach their goals.
