Professional Profile:

Kristin Sykes graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Health Sciences in 2006 and then later completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at The George Washington University in 2009. During her clinical practice she has supervised multiple students and enjoys the one-on-one mentorship involved in being a clinical instructor. She has taken a variety of continuing education courses including running biomechanics and analysis, spinal mobilization, and the neuroscience of pain. She is a certified specialist in Spidertech Kinesiotape.

Athletic Profile:

Kristin played basketball and soccer in high school while also swimming competitively.  Kristin continued her athletic endeavors through college and graduate school with intramural volleyball, basketball, flag football, and soccer.  She began running organized races in graduate school and has completed both the National Marathon in Washington D.C. and the Rock and Roll marathon in San Diego. Currently her passion is in trail running and triathlons. She has finished one half ironman and competed in multiple trail runs of various distances.
